Privacy policy
Personal privacy is important to Stayo. We aim for a high level of data protection. This policy explains how we collect and use personal data. It also describes your rights and how to exercise them. You're always welcome to contact us with questions about how we process your personal data. Contact details are at the end of this text.
What is personal data and what is processing of personal data?
Personal data is any information relating to a living natural person that can be linked to them directly or indirectly. It covers not only names and personal ID numbers but also things like images and email addresses. Processing of personal data means anything done with personal data in IT systems, whether on mobile devices or computers. It includes collection, registration, structuring, storage, processing and transfer. In some cases manual records are also covered.
Data controller
For processing within Stayo's operations, Stayo (NORDIC SIDEKICK AB, corp. reg. 556901-2288, Storgatan 67, 903 30 Umeå, Sweden) is the data controller.
Which personal data we collect about you and why
We mainly process your name, personal ID number, address and contact details, bank account for payroll, and information you have provided about next of kin. We process your personal data to fulfil our obligations under your employment contract with us and to comply with legal and collective agreement requirements.
Data processors
In some situations it is necessary for us to engage other parties, such as IT vendors for HR systems or electronic driver logs. They then act as our data processors. We check data processors to ensure they guarantee the security and confidentiality of personal data. When data processors are engaged it is only for purposes consistent with our own purposes for processing.
Parties that are independent data controllers
We also share your personal data with certain other parties that are independent data controllers, for example authorities such as the Swedish Tax Agency, when we are required to disclose such data under law or a decision by an authority. When your personal data is shared with a party that is an independent data controller, that organisation's privacy policy and personal data handling apply.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We never keep your personal data longer than is necessary for the respective purpose. Certain accounting records must, for example, be kept for at least seven years due to legislation.
What are your rights as a data subject?
As a data subject you have a number of rights under applicable law. You are entitled to receive an extract showing the personal data we have registered about you. You may request rectification of incorrect data and, in certain cases, erasure.
